Well hello there!

I'M ABIGAIL...

I married the love of my life on June 30th, 2012 under the giant oak in my parent's backyard. Lewis and I were married a year and a half when we got the surprise of our life - the ultrasound tech told us we were pregnant with spontaneous identical twins! I like to think they are the reason I started this business.. they were just infants when I felt this overwhelming desire to provide. To create. To lead by example and show them what hard work looks like. We scraped and scrounged to buy my first big girl camera and 50mm lens - and so began Abigail Niemann Photography!

Since launching in February of 2015 we have added three new faces to our group. Baby Walter joined us in December 2017 - changing the depths of my heart. Miss Maggie is our sweet and loyal Goldendoodle and Georgia Biscuit is our sneaky and adorable Irishdoodle. We have a full, crazy and LOVING life. We are intentionally content and being together is our favorite place to be.

MY PHILOSOPHY

I want to turn a fraction of a moment - into a full story.

Bring life to the images you hang on your wall.

I want your honesty. Your truth.

I want the good and the bad.

I want the tears and the smiles.

I want to capture your family as it is.

Full of sass, laughs, and imperfections.

Every session, I will capture those perfect moments, the wonderfully curated moments that make those perfect Christmas Cards. But I will also capture your snuggles, the dancing, the alligator tears, and all the hugs and kisses.

I strive to be the photographer that you return to - year after year. The one who turns into a lifelong friend and the first call you make when the big moments are happening.

From start to finish.

Let's get personal

Here are some of my most favorite pictures with some of my most favorite people. I don't believe that every moment should be captured by a professional or with professional equipment. Life moves fast - and I like to capture every possible moment.

Because I believe I'm living a story worth remembering.....

More about me

When did you start Photography?

I started in 2015, after the birth of my twin daughters!

Where are you from?

My family and I live in the Anoka area. I'm lucky to call this town my home since 1992!

What are your hobbies?

Outside of photography- I enjoy being out on our boat, planning family road trips, and weekends at the cabin. I'm on the board of directors for a non-profit that is near and dear to my heart - The Potato Head Project! Ask me about it sometime!

The list of things that interest me is a long list that keeps growing. Here are a few of those things - running, making bows, polymer clay earrings, painting rocks, bike rides, concerts, drinking alcohol with my friends, bingeing Netflix with my hubs, Starbucks, and snuggling with my children.

What is your favorite thing to photograph?

First and foremost, my favorite thing to photograph is my kids. I love capturing their childhood and giving them a tangible reminder of the love we had as a family.

I love taking pictures of things that are real and honest. Families that laugh together, couples that are head-over-heels, new parents that are too tired to function, and extended families that are just plain chaos.

What is your favorite food?

Coffee is a food, right?

How many children do you have?

Three! My twin daughters, Bonnie and Charlotte, were born in May of 2014. They were three and a half when our son, Walter, was born in December of 2017.

They are my muse and I'm obsessed with them.
